Typical Gisborne season, variable, light frosts, warm, mainly dry ripening period.


Aromatic, wild and exotic fruits and spices with an off-dry finish. Golden in colour, luscious aroma of lychees, melon fruits and scented honey. Immense fruit sweetness accentuated by pineapple and mandarin orange yet the finish is quite dry. Delicate spicy accents of nutmeg and vanilla.

Alcohol: 13.5% vol
pH: 3.28
Total acidity: 6.3 grams/litre
Residual sugar: 16 grams/litre


Cellaring potential
Drinking exceptionally well, showing no signs of stopping, expected to continue to develop though to 2011 – 2013.
